In 2011, she was nominated for an Eagle Award for her part in Hound of the Baskervilles.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/MicrosoftTeams-image-2023-01-09T135757.499.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<h3>Jane Calverley<\/h3>\n<p>VICE CHAIR:<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span>\u00a0Jane joined us in 2017 and comes from a family with a long theatrical tradition. She is in charge of our props and is to be found backstage at most of our productions.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Picture11.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<h3>Alison Andrews<\/h3>\n<p>SECRETARY: <\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span>Alison joined the Players in 1979 until 2005 when she moved away.\u00a0 She\u2019s now returned to Derby and is enjoying being back on the stage.\u00a0 She was once a nominee for Best Actress in the Derby Amateur Theatre Eagle Awards.\u00a0 She has directed in the past and, as a keen seamstress, she oversees the making of our costumes.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Picture5.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<h3>Katherine Sheldrake<\/h3>\n<p>TREASURER:<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span>\u00a0Katherine\u2019s first production with Chellaston Players was &#8216;Mother Goose&#8217; in 2007. \u00a0She took a few years off for school and university, where she performed in &#8216;Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat&#8217;. \u00a0In 2015 she re-joined the Players and has taken part in plays and pantos ever since.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Committee Members:<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Picture2.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<h3>Mick Gaunt<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p><span>Mick joined us in 1978 and has appeared in numerous plays since. Mick wrote the pantomime Aladdin in 1984 and we have continued to perform a pantomime annually since; many of his pantomimes have been published. He has also directed numerous plays and adapted productions such as Watership Down and two versions of Vicar of Dibley. He is a past Chairman and very active committee member. He has a BA in Theatre for which he studied after his retirement. He was honoured to be presented with a lifetime achievement award for services to Amateur Theatre by the Derby<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Picture4.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<h3>Elaine Lawrenson<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p><strong><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span>Lanie has over 30 years\u2019 worth of experience within the Amateur Dramatic community and has been with us for more than 15 years. Although she has acted, she prefers to be backstage doing the jobs that help to keep the group going.
